Susan Barnhurst

Having had a range of experience in schools, including being Head of Science in a large comprehensive school, Susan is currently the Academic Deputy Head at Wellingborough School in Northamptonshire where previously she was Head of Sixth Form. Susan maintains constant involvement in the UCAS application process, guiding pupils from initial expression of interest in subject areas through the decisions as to which Universities best suit their skill set and aspirations.  Her involvement includes ensuring that all aptitude tests are anticipated and care is taken to match individual capabilities to maximise the chance of a positive outcomes.  Having 4 children of her own, who have covered disciplines in Maths, Veterinary Science and History, in both English and Scottish universities.

As an experienced teacher of Physics, Susan also has a senior role with one of the major examination boards in the UK leading a team of 200 markers.
