After receiving glowing feedback on its debut publication, William Clarence Education announced this week the expansion of Independent School Admissions Plus Magazine, (ISAP) with the acquisition of leading independent school management publication, Conference & Common Room.

The leading London Education Consultancy first launched ISAP in May 2019, as a vital new resource, part of its School Services division, to help bring UK school admissions departments front and centre and discuss the crucial factors that contribute to a sustainable and effective student recruitment and communications message.

With the acquisition of Conference and Common room ISAP will be inheriting a loyal readership within the non-teaching community in UK independent schools enabling a broader scope of content and contributors, appealing to a very important and growing demographic within independent schools. This new merged title will be Independent School Management Plus.

Stephen Spriggs, Managing Director of William Clarence Education, commented:

“We received fantastic feedback from independent schools and marketers on our first two issues, and now we want to go even further and inject some new life with fresh engaging content, practical advice and new contributions from some of the leading voices in the independent education sector. Conference & Common Room is a historical and well-respected title that has a reputation for engaging and insightful content. Conference & Common Room has been the official magazine for Head Masters’ Conference (HMC) so we look forward to preserving that heritage and prestige while also bringing it into the modern independent schooling era.  We are focused on continuing our success with ISAP, producing engaging and modern editorial, as the only dedicated resource covering the business of independent education in the ever-changing commercial world.”

The relaunch of the publication will include the development of a new digital platform to support its print edition for a more proactive approach to independent school sector news, allowing previously unheard voices a platform in which to discuss the issues that matter most, including:

  • Professional resources

  • Careers advice

  • Engaging podcasts, webinars and interviews

  • Industry research

  • Leadership voice

Stephen Spriggs added:

“This will be the only publication dedicated to the non-teaching community within UK Independent schools and International schools and we look forward to reaching out and engaging with independent education professionals overseeing vital responsibilities in some of our most prestigious independent education institutions – Heads, bursars, development, and fundraising as well as marketing and recruitment.”

William Clarence Education and the team behind Independent School Management Plus are interested in hearing from schools and independent education professionals for potential collaboration.
